Project Overview

This project explores the creation of a teaser for the ballet Dracula using curated clips from various ballet performances sourced online. Through editing, layering, and motion, the piece focuses on building an eerie yet classic tone using texture, pacing, and visual rhythm.

The Challenge

Creating a cohesive and emotionally engaging teaser using pre-existing ballet footage, while maintaining a consistent tone, clear pacing, and unified visual identity across clips from different sources.

The Outcome

The final teaser establishes a cohesive and atmospheric visual language that unifies diverse ballet footage into a single narrative. Through controlled pacing, contrast, and typographic presence, the piece conveys an eerie yet classic tone that feels intentional and cinematic.

What I did

Developed storyboards and design frames to guide the visual direction, then edited and composited curated ballet footage in After Effects. Layered textures and integrated typography and sound to unify clips from different sources, refining pacing, transitions, and visual rhythm through 3+ rounds of iteration to achieve a cohesive and atmospheric final piece.
